Hi my name is Sonia and I am the owner and head groomer here at C & D Grooming. My love affair with animals started when I was a small child working with my granddad and has got stronger as the years have passed.I have allways kept ,bred ,and shown animals and been an animal first aider. After working with local vets and animal rescue's in the southwest where I grew up. And a time with Ferne as head of cat section /vet nurse , & british wild animal section I moved up to Windsor in 1983 were I worked as a keeper and head of the Children’s Zoo (the hand rearing and medical area,) I was part of the education team and worked with the Really Wild Show on tour I have worked with everything from ants to elephants and have over 30 years experiance of working with animals. After a number of years working freelance and mobile I opened the parlour here at Hogsters Farm, were I have converted a barn into the cat and dog grooming parlours. Every animal is treated as if it were my own with the greatest care and compassion I am here to offer help and advice to owners with problems or questions. This is not just a grooming parlour it is haven of peace and support for our four legged friends and their families.
I specialize with young, old nervous or infirm animals, here we take the time to make the whole thing fun , stress free and each grooming session is tailored to the animal’s own special needs. Grooming includes nails, ears, anal glands, full body check and only top quality shampoos and conditioners are used which are totally eco friendly.
Owners are welcome to wait in the reception area and have a coffee and read a book while there pet is groomed if they wish.
We offer day care service and can pick your pet up and deliver them home if that is needed. There is a local delivery charge for this service.
